When choosing a colour scheme, we like to consider the position, surroundings,  style and age of the building. We will discuss the flooring choices, budget, the clients likes and dislikes; do they prefer compatible colours or contrasting colours?  Conservative, outrageous or somewhere in between, we will take all things into consideration.  

We can create a solution for that tricky corner that is under utilised or design a space to define and enhance the flow and how a room is used.  Problem solving is one of the many aspects of interior design that we enjoy.

Choosing the flooring and lighting are one of the first decisions to make in a renovation or new build.  There are a few things to consider.  

Firstly flooring, we think about the amount of traffic an area will receive, the ease of cleaning, installation and budget. The best long term value may be the more expensive flooring that wears better over time and maintains its visual appeal.  

Secondly lighting, we consider the requirements of each room.  Specific task lighting, spotlighting for art or special pieces, mood lighting with floor and table lamps. Safety lighting to illuminate stairs and outdoor areas. 

Although curtains, cushions and rugs are sometimes one of the last things to go into a room, they add that extra luxurious layer that brings a room to life.  Textiles are our favourite medium to work with and it shows in our careful consideration of choosing the correct colour, pattern and texture to compliment the space.
